The Inn at Kent Falls, 107 Kent Cornwall Road, Kent, Connecticut

About your Guides

Yoga teacher Jan Troy and Pilates Instructor Howard Schissler will be leading each session.

Howard Schissler: After earning a college degree I worked as a professional dancer for 20 years. I obtained my certification through both STOTT Pilates and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I spent years teaching Pilates and other aspects of fitness (such as strength and flexibility training, cycling and cardio) at premier health clubs in New York City and to those in need.

Besides the obvious benefits of a stronger and more flexible body, Pilates has the power to change the way you relate to your body, this in turn will infiltrates the way you see the world.

Jan Sarala Troy, Certified Anusara Instructor; MA; RYT-500; has been a student of yoga for over 30 years. She graduated from the Iyengar Teacher Training Institute in 1980 and studied intensively with BKS Iyengar in Pune, India. She teaches public classes in Kent, Cornwall, West Cornwall, Washington and Goshen, Connecticut and teaches workshops. She has a Private Yoga practice throughout the Tri-State area and offers Private Yoga Therapy for people with pain and injury. She welcomes and respects the highly therapeutic and incredibly heart-felt aspect of the Anusara method and loves to share that with her students.
